The "Sub-Surface" Pond Aerator
Dissolved Oxygen is probably the single most important water quality factor that Pond and Lake owners, and Managers need to understand.
This Pond Aeration Unit infuses oxygenated surface air into opposing streams providing much needed circulation and aeration with significantly less energy than using a compressed air type system.
There is no above surface water pattern produced when you use the underwater aspirator nozzle. The opposing streams project out from below the floatation device, carrying the entrapped oxygen twenty plus feet from the center. This forty plus feet of oxygenated water is then drawn down toward the intake, which is located toward the bottom of your pond.
Decomposing plants and organic
material, release harmful gasses into your pond or lakes water. These
gases remain trapped in the lower colder water of your pond, where they
consume the oxygen. This creates a anaerobic condition where beneficial
bacteria starves and algae thrives. A pond aerator or pond fountain will
help turn the ponds water over, increasing circulation and helping to
release these harmful gases. This will increase the overall oxygen content
in your ponds water. Promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria which
consumes the food source that algae would grow on. Over time this will
help suspended solids and settle and firm up the ponds bottom,
